You Probably Missed This One Thing In The Latest ‘Game Of Thrones’ Preview

Sunday night, after the credits rolled on season six, episode four of “Game of Thrones,” the preview for episode five aired on screens all over the world, and all I can say is holy sh*t.

The wars to come are almost here, people, and everyone is freaking out. Sure, arguably the biggest takeaway from the preview for season six, episode five is the scene with Bran Stark standing in front of The Army of the Dead, coming face to face with the Night’s King.

There are plenty of other takeaways, though, including the introduction of Kinvara, the “High Priestess of the Red Temple of Volantis, the Flametruth, the Light of Wisdom and First Servant of the Lord of Light,” according to Reddit.

We only see Kinvara briefly when she speaks to Lord Varys and Tyrion Lannister in the throne room in Meereen. However, knowing what we do about the powers of the Red Priestess Melisandre, it’s more than reasonable to think Kinvara might have a very significant role to play in the episodes to come.

Just look how shook Varys and Tyrion appear as they listen to Kinvara tell them there’s still a lot they don’t know.

Yes, we also see Sansa confront Petyr Baelish, Arya Stark take another step with the Many-Faced God and Yara Greyjoy make her claim to rule the Iron Islands, but Kinvara’s emergence could be the most overlooked thing about episode five’s preview.

Can’t wait to see what happens next.
